There’s nothing Hubby and I enjoy more on a Saturday night than curling up on the sofa and watching a good movie. We don’t own too many, and we don’t go to the movies often, but we do have Netflix, the ultimate lover for movie buffs. The best part? I can keep track of those movies I really, truly love! Here are some I could watch over and over again (in no particular order):

10. The Incredibles

A crime-fighting family of super heros! Superb animation! I don’t think it gets more family-friendly, uplifting, inspiring and funny than this winner of a cartoon.

9. Pride and Prejudice (1995 A&E version)

I ADORE Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy, and I don’t think there’s a better adaptation of Austen’s novel around, and yes, I have seen them all.

8. Batman

“I AM Batman.” Love, love, love, love, love, love! While the 1960’s live-action TV show sparked my childhood love of all things Batman, this film solidified it.

7. The Last Kiss

Not your traditional feel-good love story, this film focuses on the mistakes one father-to-be makes, and how he learns “it’s what you do to the people you say you love, that’s what matters.”

6. The Sound of Music.

Wonderful, wonderful class — how can you not love it?

5. My Big Fat Greek Wedding

I think I love this movie soo much because it is real life — imperfect and messy. And so, so funny!

4. Batman Begins

When Hubby and I were dating and engaged, we would watch this just about every time I came to see him. I love the new look at Batman, and Christian Bale’s portrayal of the cartoon legend brings something new to the Batman cannon.

3. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade

Can you top Harrison Ford AND Sean Connery? I didn’t think so.

2. Newsies

I love me some singing, dancing, turn of the century newsboys! I fell in love with this movie when I first saw it at age seven at a friend’s sleep-over birthday party. Years later, I can still sing along.

1. The Princess Bride
move-poster_princess-brideI’ve never met anyone who doesn’t love (or at least like) this fantastical tale of true love. I’m so glad my dad forced me to watch this movie with him!
